Milan Fashion Week with Bluefly

Bonjourno! Milano fashion week is calling and more importantly, so is Italian food and handbags. Milanese are proud of their fashion heritage, the city is headquarters to fashion legends Armani, Prada, Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, among others. Great fashion and pasta, to boot, what’s not to love about Italia!

During fashion week via Montenapolene becomes a traffic jam of traffic jams of editors, models, jet setters, fashionistas, fashion victims, and wealthy Europeans. How does one stand out among this highly fashionable crowd? Where Paris is more avant garde and New York more sporty, Milan fashion always boasts its sex appeal. After all, this is the city that invented the supermodel when Linda, Christy, Naomi and Cindy lip synced George Michael’s “Freedom” down Versace’s catwalk. It’s also where Tom Ford declared brought sexy back from grunge with his spectacular first collection for Gucci and where Dolce & Gabbana continuously play up Italy’s sex appeal with collections that pay homage to Italian film sirens like Sophia Loren. And with this in mind, the first item that’s a must is my luggage bag is my Gianvito leather thigh highs.

I’ve teamed up with Bluefly to share my top Milan Fashion Week inspired look (love these lace up pumps) and picks! Transport yourself to Milan with my Bluefly picks while sipping great coffee and admiring beautifully tailored clothing at discount prices. I’m in fashion heaven. Ciao bellas.
