I’m not a fan of humidity (and neither is my hair) so I try to steer clear of summers on the East Coast. Add soaring temperatures and my go to fabric in the summer is linen. It’s lightweight and has cooling effects make it the ideal summer fabric. And designers have stepped up their linen game with collections featuring great pieces that can be worn from day to night. I love this jumpsuit (currently on sale) and button down midi dress. This black linen dress is also another great option.
Below are three ways to wear linen this summer:
- Pair a linen midi dress with a light blazer like this one from Anine Bing.
- Go for a linen on linen look with this jumpsuit and lightweight linen jacket!
- Opt for a little black linen dress – mega cool and chic!
One honorable mention about linen—it’s made from the flax plant which requires far less water to produce than cotton. It’s sustainable and ethically produced! Hope you guys had an amazing 4th!
