Designers Dolce & Gabbana and Anna Sui brought lace to the forefront of runways in the 90s and so it was only a matter of time when lace would make a resurgence on the runways again. Harper’s Bazaar declared lace a “huge trend moving” into 2016 as lace dominated runway looks of many designers this season. Celebs like Kristen Stewart, Cara Delevigne and Rita Ora have started mixing leather with lace for an edgy look. Women like my friend Gail Elliott, creative director of Little Joe Woman, epitomize this rock and roll chic. I love the femininity of lace and this black lace top from Forever 21 (similar) paired with a leather skirt (similar) just makes you want to go glam rock for a day.
