Lafayette 148 Coat: Tailored for Her

Gentlemen may prefer blondes, but blondes and brunettes favor the men’s tailored jacket. I was at a fundraiser in New York last week and I spotted many fashion forward New Yorkers donning the men’s tailored jacket paired with dresses, leather pants, and even jeans. You may recall Kate Hudson kicked off the “jacket” trend at the 2014 Oscars, when many other actresses like Gwyneth and Lupita were rocking capes.

Well the tailored jacket is the new cape. This great tailored wool coat with satin trim from Lafayette 148 looks great with pretty much everything in my wardrobe – from leather leggings to a black lace dress. I love how chunky their double chain necklace (would make a great holiday gift) is, it’s such a great statement piece of jewelry! This belt is also next on my wish list.
