Maternity Clothes – No luck

Finding maternity clothes that I like has been incredibly challenging. At 20 weeks, I still haven’t made the transition to exclusively wearing maternity clothes and I’m comfortable with that! As I get further along in my pregnancy I know my approach to fashion and my wardrobe in general will evolve, and I’m looking forward the journey! For now, I’m having a lot of fun being creative when it comes to finding clothes that work with the bump.

Instead of buying maternity specific clothes, I have been searching simply for stretchy, flowy, and comfortable pieces in general. There are a lot of pieces in my wardrobe that while they fit a little differently, work great as “maternity clothes.” And when it comes to finding new pieces, I’ve been sticking to all things stretchy and comfy. The amazing thing about this approach is that you get to give new life to old pieces you already have, and you get to invest in “maternity clothes” that you’ll be able to wear after your pregnancy as well!

How do you expecting moms out there feel about transitioning into maternity clothes!? Any favorites? Shop my faves below!

I love this!! I have also had such a hard time transitioning into a maternity style. I “tried” and purchased some clothes from A Pea in the Pod but no such luck, I did not like anything!! So far, I’ve had a bit of luck of luck with ASOS. Please keep posting, I love finding regular clothes that I can use both in maternity and after :)

Totally agree… I’m 30 weeks along at this point, and I still haven’t bought any official “maternity” clothes yet!

Congrats again on your pregnancy. I’m loving your style…

Congrats Sarah! I did the same and really didn’t buy many maternity clothes- however investing in a nice pair of mat jeans, a pair of black pants and a few dresses was all I needed. However I didn’t really get these things until after 25 weeks- the maternity clothes ended up being more comfortable and flattering . I remember finding some good pieces from Gilt Group.
