Travel Review: Four Seasons Costa Rica

FS Cost Rica Giveaway

Recently, I was lucky enough to escape the east coast arctic blast for a tropical escape to the Four Seasons Resort in Costa Rica. You can plan your own little espcae too, as I have partnered with Four Seasons to give one lucky reader a two night complimentary stay at the resort – hooray!

First let me start by telling you that our trip was SO wonderful, that we decided to extend it a few days when our return date rolled around. From crystal clear blue waters to delicious authentic Costa Rican cuisine, this resort was truly paradise. With attentive staff and breath taking views we are already planning our return. Below is a little recap of my experience followed by giveaway details.

Cuisine
The Four season’s resort surpassed all my expectations – especially the quality and authenticity dining options. When you think of resort food, you automatically think buffet style and typical American cuisines but the resort has four restaurants and a lounge. Each restaurant offering it’s own personality and take on cuisine will surely have one to your liking. My favorite would have to be the catch of the day dishes, which were so delicious. Specializing in Latin and Italian cuisine, the Resort uses local ingredients to create a one of a kind dining experience.  Our favorite was Cena Sociale – Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar.

Beach & Pool
With direct beach access and a a freshwater main pool, is joined on either side by two smaller pools guests can relax in a comfortable chaise lounge, as attendants bring cocktails and complimentary fruit, water and other treats such as fresh coconut water! IMG_2723IMG_2729IMG_3032

Activities & Adventures
The resort has tons of activities such as surfing, snorkeling, hiking, cycling, star gazing and more! If you’re looking to be adventurous you could also try zip lining, which is only a 20 minute drive from the resort. We did it and loved it! It was a little scary at first but then thrilling!

Spa
From signature treatments to alleviating stress, the spa uses only the finest natural ingredients and oils to help you go into deep relaxation. While we were there we experienced two spa treatments, one of which used restorative powers of nature to enhance physical and emotional well-being. We felt so relaxed and rejuvenated after!

Shops
In case you’re looking to take some souvenirs home the Resort has a small market with local handmade art and crafts. Also, if you forgot your sunscreen or bathing suit the resort also has all the essentials you would need for your trip, without leaving your room!IMG_3015
Accommodations
With a total of 181  guest rooms, suites, and private residences the Resort offers a variety of amenities for guests including wifi, tea/coffee maker, bath tub, large shower and more!  During our stay we had a Cielo ocean view room, which was perfect as we fell asleep listening to crashing waves.
